Bernadette Gledhill has been part of the Fashion Industry for over 40 years. We are delighted that she has agreed to be a regular guest expert for Yorkshire Businesswoman, where she will share her tips and experience of fashion, beauty and style.

"At the age of 14 my mother enrolled me on a Model and Confidence Course with the Louise Morton Agency and I realised very quickly that my way in life was definitely going to be in the beauty and fashion industry.

"After taking a Beauty Course alongside part time modelling, I was extremely lucky at the age of 20 to be taken on to the books of leading London Agency, Gavin Robinson in Old Bond Street. This was a very important part of building my career and allowed me the chance to work as a fashion model for over 25 years, for many leading companies and international designers.

"Throughout my career, I was fortunate to become involved in the planning and organisation of many show productions and fashion events, which has become the main focus of my business. Over the years we have gained our reputation as a team through dedication, commitment, professionalism and attention to detail. Taking the pressure away from our clients is my main aim!

"Our productions over the years have included events for International designers, high street retailers, shopping centres, charity events which included seven consecutive years in high profile Yorkshire locations raising money for the Princes Trust.

"I have also felt very lucky to work with many of the regions fashion departments in our universities and colleges for over 20 years, providing a service to present final year degree shows showcasing the work of the very talented students.

"A definite highlight in our annual calendar is working with the fabulous team at Yorkshire Agricultural Society producing the Fashion Shows at Great Yorkshire Show. I feel incredibly thrilled that this event has grown so much over the 20 plus years that we have worked together and the catwalk has also been a platform to launch the careers of new Yorkshire talent and create links between fashion and farming throughout the county.

"Finally organising confidence courses has been an important part of my career. Through our courses we have helped many pupils to gain in confidence, styling, presentation skills and very importantly overcome shyness.
