The Institute of Directors (IoD) has launched its annual search for the most talented business leaders in Yorkshire and the North East.
Nominations and entries are now being sought for its prestigious Director of the Year Awards which recognise the region’s top directors from the business, public and third sectors.
Winners in 13 categories go forward to contest the national Director of the Year Awards along with winners from other IoD regions.
The 13 categories are SME; Large business; Young Director (under 42 years); Public Sector; Not for Profit / Third Sector; Start Up; Family business; Student; Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity; Social value and Sustainability Impact; International; Innovation; and Non-Executive.
The closing date for entries is 1 May. The winners will be celebrated at a black-tie dinner held at the Principal York hotel on 10 September. Our sister publication TopicUK is one of the partners of the event and we will be there on the night.
Natalie Sykes, IoD Regional Director for Yorkshire and the North East, said: “Winning one of our awards is a fantastic accolade. Please do encourage each other as directors to enter the awards so we can showcase the fantastic leadership and work being done right across Yorkshire and the North East.”
