So much going on

It's been a while since I posted on here, so much has happened since our awards celebrating the businesswomen of Yorkshire on International Women's Day, belated thanks to all the people and businesses who supported us, everyone was amazing.

Work has now begun on the 2025 awards, save the date 7th March as we will once again celebrate the women of Yorkshire on International Women's Day. Do let me know if you would like to get involved as a sponsor, partner, or if you would like to put down your name for a ticket as we completely sold out last year when tickets went on sale in the autumn editor@yorkshirebusinesswoman.co.uk

The next Yorkshire Businesswoman event is to be held at the beautiful Goldsborough Hall on 10th May in conjunction with Lexus Leeds from 2pm to 4pm. There will be cars on display as well as some you can drive yourself to fully emerse yourself in the Lexus experience. Goldsborough will provide a beautiful cream tea and there will be entertainment and of course, lots of networking in this, our annual Yorkshire Businesswo'MAN' event. Book your place now so not to miss out https://yorkshirebusinesswoman.co.uk/join-us-very-a-special-garden-party-at-goldsborough-hall/

Next week, I'm looking forward to attending the 26th annual FB Fashion Ball and awards at Dock Hall with our guests including three of our ambassadors Christine Talbot, Stephanie Hirst and Natalie Anderson.

I've also been invited to stay at the beautiful Dakota Hotel Leeds, to try out one of their new garden suites and tucking into Sunday lunch, I'll share my experience in the next Yorkshire Businesswoman magazine. I'm also visiting the new Amber restaurant at the Cedar Court Hotel Harrogate for Sunday lunch and be reviewing the new Spring menu at Harvey Nichols fourth floor restaurant. Seems my waistline will be taking another pounding!

York Fashion Week is on us again and this year I will be visiting the Estee Lauder event with afternoon tea in York where the team will be demonstrating some of their fabulous products.

I'd like to welcome all our new members since the awards at the beginning of March, we are delighted to have you onboard and look forward to meeting you at an event soon. Membership has been held this year at just £25 per month but we have added to the benefits, giving all members the opportunity to appear within the magazine under the member spotlight. More reasons, as well as fabulous networking to join us. Sign up today: https://yorkshirebusinesswoman.co.uk/signup/

A Novel Lunch - did you miss this treat?

The 15th of October saw us launch 'A Novel Lunch' at Bibis Italian Restaurant in the heart of Leeds. All our lovely members and guests were invited and if you didn't book, you missed a real treat. Hosted by the popular author, presenter, joke writer and Yorkshire Businesswoman ambassador Milly Johnson, our first guest author was Suzan Holder, wife of Noddy from 70s glam rock band Slade. Suzan's new book, What Would Dolly Do is about a Dolly Parton tribute who has stage fright! This must read b

Is it me or is booking a train confusing?

Is it me or is booking a train confusing?

Now that I have moved house, I will be a regular user of trains to get me back to Leeds for the many events we hold for Yorkshire Businesswoman and TopicUK. But, I have yet to get my head around the whole booking system! I wanted to reserve a train to get me from Cheshire to Leeds, simple, well you would think so! I have to change trains in Manchester but I don't think Trainline / Transpennine could make it more complicated if they tried! I have studied the many e-tickets they have sent me v
